REFURBISHMENT & ALTERATIONS

Refurbishment, alterations and small-scale extensions.

Internal refits, reconfigurations, change of use, access improvements and conversions.

The building you have isn't quite the building you need. Changing it means measured drawings, permissions, specialist input where the scheme demands it, and a contractor working to a proper design — coordinated by one person who answers for all of it.

Covered here

  • Internal refurbishment - Full refits — ceilings, floors, services, WCs, kitchens, decorations — designed, specified and managed to completion.

  • Reconfiguration - Layouts reworked for how the space is actually used — offices, retail, clinics, workshops.

  • Small-scale extensions - Designed, taken through planning, detailed for Building Regulations, delivered — the schemes architects call too small.

  • Change of use - The planning case made, and the building upgraded to meet the standards its new use demands.

  • Access improvements - Ramps, doors, WCs and circulation brought up to standard.

ONE POINT OF RESPONSIBILITY

I carry out the measured survey, produce the design, submit the applications, bring in structural engineering input where the scheme needs it, and administer the contract on site. You deal with one surveyor from first sketch to handover.

Project files

  • COMPLETED · Wing Unit, Aylesbury — Full Internal Refurbishment

Designed and project-managed throughout: new ceilings, plastering and decorations, new floors, replacement fire alarm and electrical services, new WCs and kitchen.

  • COMPLETED · Clock House — Grade II* listed, built 1720s

Internal and external repairs, maintenance and decorations designed, specified and managed on site, following a full building survey.
