I'm Jonathan Durndell, a Chartered Building Surveyor with over 25 years in the industry.

Durndell Building Surveyors is deliberately independent. I don't sell repairs, products or remedial works, so my advice only ever has one job: telling you what's actually wrong with the building and what it genuinely needs.

Most of my work is the survey, design and delivery of repair and refurbishment projects — roofs, fire safety improvements, alterations, planned maintenance — with planning and Building Regulations applications handled as part of the job. I've spent much of my career in demanding environments: hospital wards, mental health settings, schools and commercial buildings, often occupied and operational throughout the works.

Independent damp and defect investigations run under the practice's specialist arm, Durndell Damp Surveys.

I work from Milton Keynes across Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and Northamptonshire, and I'm on site for every inspection myself.
