"Do I need planning permission?" is usually the first question — and it deserves a straight answer before you spend anything. Sometimes you don't. When you do, the application is only as strong as the drawings and the case behind it.

  • Bigger schemes - Where a project needs more — fire strategy, structural engineering, major surveys — I appoint and lead the specialists as one team, as lead consultant. One point of responsibility, still.

APPLICATIONS THAT SURVIVE THE BUILDING SITE

Applications drawn by a surveyor who also designs, specifies and administers these schemes on site come out differently: the details are buildable, the specification is real, and there's no gap between what was approved and what the contractor prices. If you only need the applications, that's fine too — plenty of clients instruct exactly that.
