I'm a Chartered Building Surveyor with more than 20 years of experience diagnosing, specifying, and delivering repair and refurbishment projects across healthcare, education, and commercial estates. Most of my work has come through repeat instruction and word of mouth.

My career has taken me from Frankham Consultancy through to WS Atkins where I achieved chartership, Malcolm Hollis, and an Oxford-based architectural practice specialising in healthcare and mental health estates.

I have particular experience in NHS and mental health environments — anti-ligature specification, out-of-hours delivery, listed building constraints, and budgets that need spending within tight timescales. These are not complications to me. They are just part of the job.

What sets me apart is an architectural eye as much as a technical one. I don't just diagnose what's wrong — I understand what a building is supposed to be and how a space should feel when it's working properly. I can bring spaces back to life — not just make them watertight. And because I understand how buildings actually go together, my diagnosis is sharper, my specifications more buildable, and my contractor management more grounded.

Every instruction is handled personally by me. Same surveyor. Every visit. Every report. Every handover.
